INSIDE SIMINEO

Constraints-Based
System Design

SIMINEO does not use several mechanics that have become common on online platforms today. The system does not rank content based on activity, does not algorithmically optimize reach, and does not build on endless recommendation chains.

These were not simplifications added later. This was part of the original idea.

A significant part of the constraints does not appear on the reach side, but in the consumption model. The growth of a profile or business is not artificially restricted, but the following system intentionally remains manageable so the information space can stay understandable in the long run.

SIMINEO is built on chronological operation. Visibility is not a competition and not the result of a recommendation feed optimized based on user profiles or behavior. The system is more predictable for both private and business users.

This approach tries to avoid several system effects that are common today.

The platform is therefore not built around maximum activity, but around being useful.
